Memorandum from the Department of External Affairs for the information of the Government, 8 July 1965, concerning the report of An Bord Scolaireachtai Comalairte [Scholarship Exchange Board] for the year 1964-65. 'Mrs P Crury Byrne, whose term of appointment as a member of An Bord ended on 31 December 1964, was re-appointed for a further period of two years. One American member of the Board was also re-appointed'. The Board also includes Mrs Luan P Cuffe.

Memorandum from the Department of the Taoiseach for the Government, 8 October 1965, relating to the census of population of Ireland, 1961. The document relates in particular to statistics concerning the fertility of marriage. 'Each married woman was asked to state the month and year of her present marriage and the number of children born alive to that marriage'. The memorandum outlines regional variations and compares the 1961 fertility figures with those collected in 1946. 'For all durations combined, the standardised average number of children per 100 married women was 367 in 1946, compared with 353 in 1961'.
